I had the honor of photographing a beautiful wedding with a couple who is as delightful as can be! Caitlin and Josh are two genuinely enthusiastic people who poured their energy into the personal details of their day. The bride thought of everything, with soft pastel hues as her base colors, then pearls, twine and burlap highlighting the day. The groom even made the wooden wedding arch! Unbelievable!
But as pretty as their D.I.Y. details were, I loved them as a couple. One of my favorite moments was when it started raining and we were just starting pictures outside, the bride just smiled and said, “Actually I think the rain feels good right now!” And there you have it. Nothing can keep these two from smiling and adoring each other. Nothing could keep them from having a blast on their wedding day. It is a lesson for all of us, when the clouds roll in, let the stress roll away.
A few favorites…
A couple of last minute touches, the quiet moments before the ceremony…
Since the ceremony was at a private residence, I got to wander inside the house and see how the families were progressing.
This is why I love documentary photography!
Josh doesn’t stop smiling so he is basically every photographers’ dream come true!
Look at this gorgeous space! (By the way, the groom made that awesome arch!)
These beauties were so great to hang out with…and I love their cowboy boots!
There were no dry eyes during the formal dances…
Caitlin and Josh, we should all have such a terrific outlook on life and love. You two were a dream and it was such a pleasure and privilege documenting your stunning day!
