I have an absolute obsession with meaningful photos. During every wedding I constantly ask myself…if I took away all of the posed portraits during a wedding, would the gallery be strong enough to stand on its own? Would the essence of the day, the connections, the moments…showcase the very soul of the event, even if we took away all of the pictures where I orchestrated people in good light and flattering poses?<\/p>\n

For Chelsea and Orren’s wedding, the answer is an unequivocal YESSSS!<\/p>\n

That’s my motivation. That’s why I shoot for 16 hours straight. That’s why I insist on being there first thing in the morning and being the last one to leave. Of course, I will shoot the hell out of portraits and group family and friends together so they look awesome. But, when it’s all over, I want relationships to be captured in an honest way. Smiles and tears that come naturally, not because they were camera aware. This wedding? Oh man, I still get emotional about it. The enduring love and support of this couple’s V.I.P’s was captured in nearly every single photograph. It was inspiring.<\/p>\n
