Rain started our morning at Delta Hotels by Marriott in Utica, NY but it didn’t dampen anyone’s excitement! In fact, by the time the ceremony was over, the gentle rain added a touch of magic to their love story. Surrounded by family and friends in a beautiful historic church, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows in front of the bride’s cousin, who is also a Catholic Priest. To say this was one of the most special things I’ve ever witnessed, underplays the significance of the event. This couple put family as their priority, so I was sure to get lots of photos of parents and relatives reacting to the beautiful moments unfolding. The romantic ambiance was accentuated by delicate blush accents, creating an intimate and warm setting despite the weather outside.
The rain held off for us to get some lovely portraits at the bride’s childhood home, then we hit the hotel ballroom, which was transformed into a blush-hued wonderland, with elegant centerpieces and flickering candles casting a warm glow throughout the space.
In the end, the rain became a cherished part of their wedding story, a reminder that even in the most unexpected moments, love shines brightest.
